What is Spiritual Healing?
Spiritual Healing is a natural
energy therapy. It complements conventional medicine by treating the
whole person - mind, body and spirit. Spiritual Healers act as a
conduit or channel for healing energy, often described as 'love and light', which
relaxes the body, releases tensions and stimulates self-healing. The
benefits of healing can be felt on many levels, not just the physical,
and the effects can be profound.Isn't it Faith Healing? What's
the difference?No.
Spiritual Healing is not Faith Healing. The term 'Faith Healing'
implies that the recipient needs to believe in a deity and that that
deity is the source of healing. Spiritual Healing is not linked to a
particular religion. Faith by the recipient is not required and healing
can help people regardless of their religious beliefs.Where does this 'energy' come from?
Healing energy is all around us. In essence it is 'universal' - part of
nature itself. It is available for everyone to use for the greatest
good. Healers learn to use their ability to tap into this natural
energy and pass it on.Depending upon their individual beliefs some healers and recipients see the
energy as divine; others see it as pure universal energy. It is often visualised as simply 'love and light'.Does it work?
Anything
from just one session up to a series of 5/6 regular sessions would be
sufficient to convince you beyond doubt that improvements have occurred
since your first visit. You might also feel lighter and brighter, more
positive in attitude and notice happy coincidences occurring in your
life. Local success stories include patients who have recovered from
physical problems, depression and stress. Science
may not yet fully understand how Healing works, but is it
really constructive to dismiss something which has a tangible impact,
simply because a conventional explanation is not currently available?
How does it work?
Healing is a natural therapy where healing energy is
channelled by the healer through to the patient. When our energy is
unbalanced or depleted (resulting in illness or stress) the healer acts
as a gentle set of jump leads and the energy is then directed by the
patient's inner wisdom to where it is most needed. The same is true
when we eat food - the goodness goes to where it is most needed without
us having to think about it. For this reason, the healer does not need
to know your problem for healing to take place, but you can feel free
to talk about it if you wish.
Do I need Faith?
It isn't necessary to believe in healing for it to work, but a positive attitude is always
helpful.
Can it harm me?
Healing can never do harm. On rare occasions, someone
might feel worse for as much as a few days before improving, but this
is part of the healing process where deep stress is being released. If
this happens, rest up and relax to allow the process to work fully for you.
What will happen on my first appointment?
A
healer will explain to you what to expect and answer any questions that
you may have. Then you simply sit in a chair or lie on a couch in
relaxing surroundings whilst the healer works around you, either with a
light touch or none at all - it is your choice. It is quite normal to
feel tingling, heat, coolness or even discomfort coming to the surface
to be released as the healing energy works. Or you might feel nothing
at all - it makes no difference to the outcome. Your job is to relax as
much as you can during the session and allow it all to happen. The
majority of people feel very relaxed afterwards, which is an
outward sign of inner improvement.
